Details

If you are looking to upgrade your existing security camera system or building a new system but want to mix and match HD and analog resolution cameras, then this 16 Channel DVR is a perfect choice. It allows use of 3 different types of HD security cameras over coax, and also supports analog CCTV cameras, and IP cameras up to 8MP. Here is a breakdown of the different camera types supported this powerful yet economical digital video recorder:

  • Analog CCTV cameras up to 960H resolution
  • HDCVI, cameras up to 4K 8MP resolution
  • TVI and AHD security cameras up to 4MP
  • IP cameras up to 8MP resolution with 96Mbps max recording bandwidth

You can browse each of the security camera types by clicking on the linked bullet points above. You can mix and match between HD over coax, IP cameras, and old Analog cameras in any number up to a total of 24 channels. There are 16 BNC ports on the back of the DVR, and 8 IP cameras up to 8MP resolution can be added over the network using a PoE switch, making this effectively a 24 channel security video recorder.

This unit is a standalone security video recorder and does not require a PC for use. It comes with an embedded Linux operating system that stays free of any viruses or Trojans. It comes with the same great user interface as all of our other DVRs, and uses H.264+ encoding to record video at great quality while conserving hard drive space. It is easy to set up as well. Simply turn the DVR on and it will boot up to a grid of 16 or 25 channels depending on whether you have IP cameras added or not. Connect your BNC cameras to the back of the DVR using the BNC video inputs, and as each camera is connected it will populate a square denoting video from that camera.

As is true with all of our DVRs, this recorder also has the same plethora of features in addition to those mentioned above.

Total 2 question(s)

I had an EverFocus EDSR-900F DVR, this used 9 old security cameras (560 TVL and 280 TVL). I have added 2 new cameras (HD-TVI) and 1 with AHD-720p output. I would like (but not necessary) to have my new DVR also support some IP cameras (1 to 2). It must have at least two alarm I/O. Which of your DVR can work with these old and new camera formats?

Question by: Warren Wilson on: 2018-06-01

The XVRPT16 with two alarm inputs could be used for this purpose.

Answer by: Tech Support on: 2018-06-04

Good afternoon,
Tell me how many privacy zones on this device, can I blank out a blinking light; and just for info is this a single core processor?

Question by: Chas on: 2018-08-02

Please note there are several zones that can be masked for motion detection. Please watch the video on how to record video on your surveillance system. All the DVRs we carry have at least a dual-core arm processor.
