If you are looking to upgrade your existing security camera system or building a new system but want to mix and match HD and analog resolution cameras, then this 16 Channel DVR is a perfect choice. It allows use of 3 different types of HD security cameras over coax, and also supports analog CCTV cameras, and IP cameras up to 8MP. You can mix and match between HD over coax, IP cameras, and old Analog cameras in any number up to a total of 24 channels. There are 16 BNC ports on the back of the DVR, and 8 IP cameras up to 8MP resolution can be added over the network using a PoE switch, making this effectively a 24 channel security video recorder.

This unit is a standalone security video recorder and does not require a PC for use. It comes with an embedded Linux operating system that stays free of any viruses or Trojans. It comes with the same great user interface as all of our other DVRs, and uses H.264+ encoding to record video at great quality while conserving hard drive space. It is easy to set up as well. Simply turn the DVR on and it will boot up to a grid of 16 or 25 channels depending on whether you have IP cameras added or not. Connect your BNC cameras to the back of the DVR using the BNC video inputs, and as each camera is connected it will populate a square denoting video from that camera.
