Description

Details

This 4MP Turret Dome IP Camera processes 2K resolution video at a fluid 30 frames per second (fps), which by the security industry standard is called real time video. With a 2.7-12mm motorized zoom lens you can have anywhere from a wide 100° angle of view to a telescoped 35° angle of view. Further, the 2K resolution video provides great detail allowing the user to digitally zoom into an image to identify a face. When set at the widest angle of view, you can expect facial detail up to 30ft away, and when the motorized optical zoom lens is set to full zoom power you can expect facial detail up to 70ft away.1

Its video capabilities don't end there. It has two Super IR LEDs that aid the camera to see in low light or darkness up to 164ft away. As standard in all of our security cameras, it features Smart IR technology to intelligently reduce IR strength when there is a nearby object to reduce IR glare. It features True WDR for glare compensation, and it features H.265+ video compression that allows bandwidth savings up to 70% compared to standard H.264. To take advantage of this feature you would need to use one of our H.265 NVR.

This security camera also has an integrated microphone with which you'll be able to pick up on a conversation; its audio pickup range has been tested in a quiet room to be up to 40ft away. It can be mounted indoors or outdoors with its IP67 weather protection rating.

Generally powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet) this camera only needs one network cable to communicate zoom controls, send both video and audio, adjust configuration, and power the camera from our PoE NVRs. Alternatively, you may power this IP camera using a 12VDC 1A power supply or PoE switch.

We recommend use with our PoE NVRs as it allows plug and play compatibility between the camera and the NVR, especially for taking advantage of the camera's built-in video analytics features and H.265+ video encoding.

Since this is a network camera, it can function as a standalone camera without a recorder. It can be ordered with an optional internal microSD card up to 128GB to record video on demand inside the camera. This H.265 IP camera offers video based motion detection, and other video analytics features which can be used to fine tune video detection and record on the 128GB microSD card for short intervals.

I have a client that wishes to view and record audio and video (for medical training) on a laptop from the other side of the wall where the camera/mic will be mounted. This will be a very simple application - one camera with microphone going into a laptop for viewing and/or possibly recording. Will this camera work for this application? Cable connection PoE network cable. Will I need any other pieces of equipment?

Question by: tim mason on: 2018-02-15

You have chosen the right camera for the application you described. You will need a PoE injector or a PoE switch to supply power and data to the camera. You can connect the camera using a network cable to a PoE injector's PoE output, and connect another cable from the laptop's network port to the PoE injector's LAN port. To allow communication between the camera and the laptop you will need to specify a static IP address for both devices in the same subnet. Our cameras come with a default IP address of 192.168.1.108, so you can put your laptop on 192.168.1.107. Once you have the network established, you can connect to the camera using our Windows / Mac viewing software that allows both video and audio communications.

For the camera IP4DZVPA, can I install my own SD card? Also, what app would I run on my Iphone7 to view the camera activity via the internet when I am not home. Do you have an installation and operations manual I could review before purchase? Do the poe wires for the camera run thru the wall mount arm bracket and do you have a picture of that? if I ordered today, when would I receive delivery for area code 49127?

Question by: Nancy Mitchell on: 2018-08-14

You cannot install the SD card yourself. It is factory installed. It is non removable as it is inside the camera. Opening the camera will void its warranty.

You can find info about our apps at the link below. Make sure you have internet at the camera location.

You need a 802.3af/at compatible PoE switch or poe injector to power the camera. How many cameras are you trying to use?

Here is a video on the wall mount works on the dome cameras. Yes it passes through the dome.
