Description

Details

The outdoor/indoor 3 Megapixel IP Security Camera is a high definition bullet style network camera that provides video that surpasses 1080p. Its 3MP video sensor produces a picture size of 2052 x 1536 pixels which enables the user to magnify recorded video better than what a 1 or 2 megapixel ip camera can do. As compared to analog security cameras (aka CCTV cameras), the video produced by this 3MP IP camera is much clearer and captures detail that other cameras will miss. You can expect to positively identify a face or license plate up to 30ft away. If you are looking to do license plate capture, we recommend it for use in lit conditions with vehicles moving less than 10 mph. If you ever needed to provide the police with surveillance video, the video captured by this camera will make it easy for them to see what happened and quickly identify the perpetrator.

This 3 megapixel IP security camera has a 3.6mm lens which provides a 80 degree view, and is great for general surveillance. It also has plenty of night vision thanks to its infrared LEDs that allow the camera to see up to 100ft in darkness. There are also great image enhancements like backlight compensation (BLC) which allows the camera to compensate for bright light shining in through the windows when mounted indoors. There is also DWDR (digital wide dynamic range) which helps in different lighting conditions.

This camera is IP66 rated, meaning it can be used indoors or outdoors in any weather, and does not require a overhang or cover for weather protection. You can power this camera easily with one of our PoE switches, PoE enabled NVRs, or with a 12V security camera power supply. To record video we suggest using one of our IP camera NVRs.

360 security and night vision Review by Oblitas

Our company purchased 18 of these cameras and a handful of the 3 mp domes for our distribution warehouse. Our management team is very pleased. We have been able to obtain 360 degree coverage with many cameras around the perimeter of the building as well as details of happenings in the parking lot. The 100ft of night vision has been paramount. Everything on our property is well lit by the infrared on these cameras. I would recommend to other people as well. (Posted on 5/20/16)

Upgraded the cameras on the outside of my store to this security camera. I just wasn't getting enough detail out of the 1000 line camera at the distance I needed. I can now see the license plates of cars in my lot even at 30 feet. (Posted on 4/17/16)
Package theif caught Review by John Connolly

I had to install a camera on my front porch. We get UPS deliveries almost daily. Before buying this camera we had packages disappearing from our doorstep. UPS said they were delivered but when I got home, there was nothing there. I hooked up this camera straight to my router. I have it connected with an app on my phone so I could watch from work when my things were delivered. The camera is set to send motion alerts to my phone with email snapshot. I eventually figured out it was my neighbor. For $150, I definitely recommend this camera to anyone. The picture is great. (Posted on 1/21/16)
3mp ip camera at a bargain price Review by Dan

These 3mp cameras are small and powerful. My older Lorex system cannot compare to the video quality and features of these cameras. I am using a 32 channel recorder with a netgear poe switch. You can't beat the value this camera and the NVR have to offer.

Keeping an eye on mailbox Review by Jessica D

Purchased this IP camera after I was the victim of ID mail theft. The image quality is excellent, as well as the web based interface. I decided to just use the camera's interface and management tools and store the streams and motion detection triggered snapshots to my NAS using FTP. I also view the camera live on my android phone. I will probably get a couple more to cover both the front and back of my house and detached garage. I haven't had any issues with people stealing mail since installing these security cameras. Hopefully it stays that way. (Posted on 10/3/15)

I purchase this along with the 8 camera NVR that has POE and setup was easy. Took about 10 seconds per camera to get things configured. The resolution of this camera is impressive and I am able zoom in on recorded video and see a face up to 30 ft away. Very happy with the purchase and prompt email support. (Posted on 9/11/15)

Total 3 question(s)

Will this camera work with Video Velocity software for timelapse recording? The camera will need to have a URL as just having an IP address does not work.

Question by: Charles on: 2016-09-14

You can access mjpg via the http stream from our ip cameras using a URL of the following form:

http://{IP_ADDRESS}:{PORT}/cgi-bin/mjpg/video.cgi?channel=0&subtype=0

Here is an example if you have the camera on the default ip address:
http://192.168.1.108:80/cgi-bin/mjpg/video.cgi?channel=0&subtype=0

The subtype refers to the stream resolution as follows:
Subtype=0 = main stream
Subtype=1 = sub stream

The camera has an ability to serve dual streams, a main stream which is recorded usually on the NVR and a sub stream (aka extra sub stream) that is a lower resolution. Both can be toggled from within the camera settings.

Are these available in black? If not do you have a comparable camera that does? They're being installed on black soffits and don't want them standing out like a sore thumb.

Question by: Darren Cox on: 2017-02-14

Yes it is ONVIF 2.4 Profile S compliant, however Onvif does not guarantee compatibility. It is an open source driver and inter-brand compatibility is variable. For example, vivotek, trendnet, and arecont are some that we have found to be very poor performers in ONVIF compatibility.

Do you perhaps know the IR nm frequency of the IR LED's?

Question by: Dan on: 2017-01-06

The wavelength is 850nm.
