As our latest generation of security camera recorders, this 32-camera system is classified as a Pentabrid DVR, also known as an XVR, meaning it can record up to five different types of video signals.

You can record the following signal types with this XVR:

• HDCVI - Choose from our selection of HD analog security cameras with up to 4K 8MP resolution. Our HD over Coax cameras allow for PTZ controls (where available) or audio (with built-in microphones) to be sent over coax wire.
• AHD - Our 4-in-1 analog cameras offer AHD signal output, but it is not very popular in the USA.
• TVI - Our 4-in-1 analog cameras also support TVI signal output.
• IP Cameras - Select from any of our Premium Series IP cameras up to 12 MP resolution, guaranteed to be compatible with our Premium Series DVRs. The XVR supports a total of 128 Mbps of IP camera encoding bandwidth.
• Analog Resolution Cameras - These standard-definition security cameras (aka CVBS) are likely what you already have if you're upgrading to HD from an old CCTV system.

This 32-camera video recorder can support any combination of the above five camera signals up to 32 channels. The recorder allows you to change the channel type for each channel so that you can have a mix of cameras. Click here to see how it's done. You can switch channels between coax and IP input. For IP cameras, you will need a PoE switch to power the cameras and send video over your local computer network from the cameras to the DVR.

You can view all 32 cameras simultaneously using the video outputs (HDMI or VGA) on the back of the DVR or all cameras on one screen on a PC using our central monitoring software for the Premium Series products from Avalonix.

In addition to 32 camera video inputs, this DVR features 16 analog audio inputs to accommodate security cameras with microphones or add-on security microphones. Adding a security camera with a microphone is simple using the BNC inputs on the back of the DVR. This recorder also supports audio over the HDCVI signal, allowing you to use one of our security camera with built-in microphone to capture video and audio over the coax wire without needing to install external microphones.

This 32 camera XVR boasts advanced AI analytics, including Smart Motion Detection, Digital Tripwire, Intrusion Detection, and Face Detection. You can employ Smart Motion Detection on all 32 channels, which is more adept at detecting humans and vehicles compared to traditional video-based detection while avoiding recording irrelevant objects like leaves, insects, or shadows. Alternatively, on up to 12 BNC channels, Tripwire and Intrusion Detection capabilities are available, allowing you to refine video event detection utilizing the AI technology this DVR provides. The XVR is compatible with our Premium Series IP cameras and can record video analytics on all IP camera channels. Although we guarantee compatibility with the IP cameras¹ we offer, you may also be able to use some third-party cameras from our IP camera compatibility list, but event detection/analytics from 3rd party cameras will not work.

Furthermore, the XVR supports Face Detection on up to 6 BNC channels, enabling the detection and recording of faces present in the camera's view. This feature enhances security by ensuring crucial events are captured and recorded in areas where individuals must pass through entrances, exits, or pathways. In order to effectively capture a face, the face must occupy at least 50% of the camera's field of view.
