Starlight Image Technology

It is a 4K Pan Tilt Zoom security camera with a 8MP Sony Starvis image sensor that provides crystal clear video during day or night and features Starlight technology to allow the camera to see in color even in dim lighting conditions. It is a network based PTZ camera and has a powerful CPU that can encode video in H264+ or H.265+ to minimize the amount of network bandwidth and storage required.

AI based Video Detection

In addition to its amazing 4K video quality, optical zoom, and night vision, this Pan Tilt Zoom 4K camera is equipped with AI features that allow intelligent video detection. It allows tripwire and intrusion box detection rules to be set and combined with filtering to pinpoint vehicle and human body detection. On top of the Smart Event Detection features the camera also has Auto Tracking for perimeter protection.

Auto Tracking

Auto Tracking, one of the best features of this camera, uses AI technology to track the movement of pedestrians or slow moving vehicles in a low traffic area. The video below demonstrates how to set up auto tracking, which is triggered by a Smart Event Detection rule configured in a PTZ preset. The guide also briefly covers some of the image settings on the camera that can be adjusted to optimize the camera's view. In contrast to our other network based Pan Tilt Zoom cameras, this 4K PTZ is specially designed for observation applications. It can be mounted flat on a surface like the roof of a building or van, or a boat.

You can even use this high power PTZ as a standalone security camera to monitor and capture snapshots at intervals up to every 6 hours to monitor construction progress, or you can connect the camera to a network with an internet connection for remote viewing and transmission of video or snapshots to FTP, NVR, or cloud storage. PTZ Camera System for long term recording

One of the best ways to use this camera is to pair it with a network video recorder (NVR), as we show in the following video. Adding this camera to an IP security camera system makes it easier to access the camera and allows you to store footage from the camera for longer periods of time than using an SD card. View and Control from PC Computer

Highlighting the free camera monitoring PC software that works with this PTZ and our other Premium Series cameras and systems, this video compares the zoom capabilities of this 48X Super Long Range PTZ and a 4X Mini PTZ. We show in the video that the 48X PTZ camera captures detailed images from up to 1400 feet away for unparalleled clarity and reach.

This camera also works with the Microsoft Edge Internet Explorer mode and a plugin. After a few seconds of installing the plugin and logging into the camera, the video feed starts, and you can move it using the embedded PTZ controls or the convenient 3D targeting feature. Within the web interface, you can also set up various functions the camera has, like presets, scans, or tours, including Smart Detection rules for enabling autotracking.

Note: to get full night vision distance it is important to make sure power is provided using the power adapter that comes with this camera located near the camera. If you don't have a 110V AC power socket near the camera then you can extend power using 16awg cable up to 200ft away or 500ft away using 12awg cable.
