The Mini 8 Channel 1080p HDCVI DVR is an economical video recorder for customers looking to record up to 8 cameras, of either standard analog definition or the new high definition security cameras. It accepts a mix of HDCVI HD over coax cameras and analog cameras on each of the eight channels, and is able to record in real time 1080p or 720p, meaning in full HD without any choppy video. If you are unfamiliar with HDCVI cameras, they are a new type of security camera that can send HD video over regular coax cable. They are great for use in upgrading existing systems, or in new systems where the fussy networking required for IP cameras is too difficult for you. If you are looking for a complete system be sure to check our 8 camera HDCVI systems page.

This mini HDCVI DVR supports one hard drive up to 4TB, and one add-on microphone. It does not sacrifice on any of the features or reliability that more expensive DVRs offer. You can even use PTZ cameras with this recorder. Simply connect your cameras and start recording in HD. You can choose from 720p or 1080p cameras depending on your requirements. You can find compatible HDCVI cameras here.

This 8 channel high definition DVR has a high speed processor with embedded Linux operating system that stays free of any viruses or Trojans. It comes with the same great user interface as all of our other DVRs, and uses H.264 encoding to record video at great quality while conserving hard drive space.

All of the DVRs we sell include tons of features, most important of which is video based motion activated recording that you can use to save hard drive space and record only when motion is detected by the intelligent software on this DVR. The motion feature can also notify you on your phone or tablet when activated, and you can also playback video from your phone or tablet.

If you need help, with every purchase you get free technical support for the product purchased.

I own this DVR. Unfortunately I did not buy from you guys. I wish I had. But anyway, I need some information on audio connection. I saw the blog on the connections, but I'd like to know what is the difference between HDCVI and local under the boxes that are to be checked for the Audio? I have connected the microphone to the rg59 Siamese witb a 3 way BNC hoping that it would carry the signal for audio along with video on the same cable. I read that it could and the option seems to be there, but I'm totally not getting anything to work

Question by: Nick Rice on: 2016-11-15

You need a HDCVI with integrated mic to send audio over the ENCODED HDCVI signal. A three way splitter will not work.
