Description

Details

The 1000TVL resolution Professional Security Camera is a box camera that outputs analog video usable with standard CCTV or security DVRs that accept BNC video signals at either D1 or 960H resolution. This camera has a 1/3" HD CCD with a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) that offers crisp video, a built-in Auto Electronic Shutter with Internal Auto-Iris that automatically adjusts to light changes, and Backlight Compensation (BLC). The 1000TVL image sensor produces a picture comparable to 720P all without having to upgrade your analog CCTV system to HD. Plus the video is 960H compatible for use in the new 960H analog DVRs. There is also a Defog feature in our cameras that enhances the video on foggy days.

Unlike other box cameras on the market, this camera has been specially programmed from the factory to pick up infrared light of 850nm that is commonly found IR illuminators or our outdoor infrared night vision camera housing. As concerns low light video quality, it is rated for 0.01 Lux, which means it can see in color even in low light without any infrared. With infrared night vision it can accommodate 0 Lux.

You have a choice of selecting the lens, housing, bracket, and cabling. As standard we sell only the camera body, making it a perfect choice for use in existing systems where you are replacing the camera body.

You can choose a standard 4mm lens that gives a 80 degree view, or choose a better Auto-Iris 2.8-12mm Manual Zoom Lens that provides a 90 degree max angle of view and 20 degree view at the narrowest mark. That translates to being able to see a face very clearly up to 30ft away from the camera at the 20° angle of view, and up to 15 feet away at the 90° angle of view. We also offer a more powerful 5-100mm Auto Iris Zoom Lens, which when zoomed-in allows you to see a face up to 130ft away.

Make note, all lenses are manual optical zoom, that means you have to adjust the lens by hand using the small levers located on the lens body.

Hard to find these days Review by Chris Miles

I can't find analog only box security cameras like this anywhere. This box camera was the only one I could find this year online. I got it, bench tested it, and it worked great with my existing CS lens from my old camera from 2003. Video quality was what should be expected from analog cameras. 1000TVL doesn't mean it is high definition. Note to novice users. This camera does not have a barrel connector dc jack on the back. You will need your own pigtail if you are trying to use 12v dc wall brick. The camera has a twist terminal connection for 2 lead power wire. (Posted on 7/3/17)

I used this with my outdoor enclosure. I had some question, and I asked the tech persons by email. They got back to me in less than an hour with a photo of what I needed to do. It was easy to swap the cameras with the connections that were already there. My installer wanted to charge me $280 for a camera and I knew that was too much. I installed myself. (Posted on 3/17/17)

Is this camera powered by 12VDC or 24VAC?

Question by: Dave on: 2017-05-23

This is a box camera that is dual voltage as mentioned in the product features. You can use either 12V DC 500mA or 24V AC 250mA to power the camera.
