Easy Connections with a 4 Channel PoE NVR

A 4 port PoE NVR sends power to each compatible camera and receives its video through the same Ethernet cable. Connect matched PoE cameras to the recorder's built-in ports for plug-and-play setup. You won't need a separate power adapter at each camera.

For a different wiring layout, compatible cameras can also connect through an external PoE switch on your local network. Those cameras still count toward the recorder's four-channel limit. A switch changes where you connect them; it doesn't increase how many the NVR can record.

4K Recording and Smart Motion Detection

Our four-channel PoE recorders support 4K security cameras. For higher-resolution cameras, the Avalonix NVR044KAI accepts resolutions up to 16MP and offers 80 Mbps of incoming recording bandwidth. You can mix compatible camera resolutions instead of buying the same camera for every location.

Want fewer alerts for movement that doesn't matter? Smart Motion Detection on supported equipment helps distinguish people and vehicles from ordinary movement. Select a hard drive when ordering your NVR and we'll install it before shipping. Choose around how many days of video you'd like to keep, not just the number of cameras.

Drive limits vary by model. The AvaEye NVR104PRO supports one drive up to 10TB, while the NVR044KAI supports one drive up to 20TB. The storage choices on each product page show the drive sizes currently available to order.

Want Four WiFi Cameras and Room for Wired Cameras?

The Avalonix NVR08WIFI gives you another way to build a smaller setup. This eight-channel recorder can record four compatible WiFi cameras plus four wired IP cameras, which is why you'll find it in this category too.

It has a built-in wireless access point for compatible Avalonix cameras. Wired cameras connect through the local network, using a PoE switch when they need PoE power. The recorder doesn't have built-in PoE ports. WiFi carries the wireless cameras' video; the cameras still need power.

Check Your Cameras from Home or Away

Watch live video, play back a recording, or check an alert from your phone. Our viewing apps and Windows/Mac software are free. Connect the NVR to the internet for access when you're away from the property.

Local recording and playback on a connected monitor don't need internet. If your internet service drops, the NVR keeps recording as long as the cameras, recorder, and their local connections remain powered and working.

Is a hard drive included with the recorder?
