Introduction

This outdoor turret camera is an analog security camera, which means it outputs video through a BNC connector. It is an HD coax camera, so you'll need to make sure you're using it with one of our HD security dvr recorders, or a compatible DVR of your own that supports the listed signal types in the specifications table below. It is a 4-in-1 analog camera, so it can be set to a variety of signal modes with a compatible DVR. You can also ask us to set it to your desired signal and resolution type before we ship it, in case you do not have a 5MP TVI DVR.

Outdoor Rated & Versatile Compatibility

It is an outdoor weather resistant camera that provides clear video for a CCTV camera running over RG59U siamese cable. It provides audio from its built-in mic, and dual illumination options that can be set from a compatible DVR. It is a 12VDC camera that fits easily into modern day security camera systems. You can also use it with an old school standard def CCTV system or monitor by asking us to set it to CVBS mode before we ship it.

5MP Video Quality & Built-in Microphone

It has a 5MP video sensor and ships in 5MP TVI mode by default, which produces clear and crisp video. It also has a built-in mic that is able to pick up audio from the ambience up to 30 ft away. The audio signal is mixed into the video signal over the HD CCTV signal when used with a compatible DVR. The Security Cameras Inc brand of DVRs is fully compatible with this camera. You can expect up to 30ft of facial detail during the day in 5MP mode with this camera.

Dual Night Vision Illumination Options

This little outdoor 5MP turret camera offers two types of illumination options at night:

1. The first is white light LEDs that turn on automatically at night to provide color vision at night. You can think of them as small flood lights. The video is in color up to 66ft, and is great for scenarios where you would like to see the color of objects, persons, and vehicles. This is the default option set on the camera.
2. The second option is infrared LEDs which provide a black and white view at night allowing the camera to see up to 100ft without any ambient light. IR Night vision is the type of light that the human eye cannot see but the camera can. There is a slight amount of red glow from the IR LEDs on the camera, like any other IR night vision security camera we carry. Using a compatible HD DVR you can access the camera's on-screen display menu and change the settings to use IR night vision instead of white light.
