Will I be able to swap out my Uniview recorder but keep the cameras?

Probably. Most AvaEye recorders are compatible with Uniview IP cameras. It depends on the models you have, the protocol those camera use to connect, and the recording features you like. Email us the model numbers of your cameras and recorder we'll recommend the right replacements.

Will the smart detection from my existing cameras work with a new video recorder?

Smart detection from existing Uniview cameras should work, but not all of the features are guaranteed to work. If features like smart detection are important to you, we recommend buying a set of AvaEye cameras and an AvaEye recorder at the same time to ensure compatibility.

How do I pick an entire Uniview system replacement?

Pick an AvaEye system based on roughly how many cameras you want, and how long you want to retain video footage. Yes. When you replace your Uniview recorder with a new AvaEye recorder, you'll need to set up remote viewing with the AvaEye app (free to download) once your new recorder is installed.
