This Vandal and Impact Resistant Security Camera is part of the latest generation of 4K security cameras by CCTV Camera World. This camera features a 8MP image sensor that captures stunning 4K resolution video. Since it is an IP camera it can be viewed remotely over the internet from your smartphone, computer, or an NVR. It has a varifocal motorized zoom lens that can also be controlled remotely. The lens gives the camera the power of optical zoom that enables facial recognition up to 100ft away when zoomed in all the way, or up to 50ft away at the widest angle. You can also expect night vision up to 164ft away from the camera's infrared LEDs.

This camera provides the latest features in the security camera industry with the power of optical zoom in a rugged impact resistant casing. It is made of metal and tested to be impact resistant to IK10 standards, making it capable of withstanding the equivalent of 120 lbs of force. This 4K security camera has been subjected and certified to rigorous dust and water immersion tests. It is IP67 rated and is suitable for demanding outdoor applications.

If video storage space is a concern, you can take advantage of its H.265 video encoding ability along with scene adaptive optimization provided by Smart Codec + technology. Total 3 question(s)

I'd like to know about your web interface. II'd like to purchase some of your 4K IP cameras that wont be in the same area, but opposite ends of the block. I want access to them via the web (will be using 128gb SD Cards), not using an NVR. Can you tell me more information about the web interface? Can people access the interface from their mobile devices with a username and password? Are there other ways to access the IP Camera, with other software?

Question by: Samori Price on: 2018-01-16

All of the security cameras with built-in SD card feature that we carry have a web interface that is accessible over the network for configuration and viewing. Please see our guide for how to record to an SD Card with an IP Security Camera to learn more. You can configure each camera to record to the internal SD card, and review recorded footage as well over the web.

Please tell me if this camera is a good choice given the specs below....
Camera will be ceiling mounted and will be pointed straight down at a target about 10ft away.
Need to get a very crisp and clear picture (snapshot, not video)
Need to save shapshot to a shared Windows folder (ideally with automatic file naming spécifications predetermined).

Would a PTZ camera be a better choice if I need clear snapshot of only a specific area of the target? Thanks for your help

See below for answers related to each question:

Please tell me if this camera is a good choice given the specs below....

1) Camera will be ceiling mounted and will be pointed straight down at a target about 10ft away.

Depends on the size of your target. If you are trying to read text, then you can't be more than 5ft away. Watch the video in this article to compare to 4mp. 8MP is not too far off compared to 4mp when trying to read text.

2) Need to get a very crisp and clear picture (snapshot, not video)

Depends on your answer to above. If you are trying to read text from a fixed location/platform as in the example cited above, then you are better off with the following camera that has a longer zoom lens so you will be to see farther with more detail.

3) Need to save shapshot to a shared Windows folder (ideally with automatic file naming specifications predetermined).

a) You can't specify how the files will be named. The camera will automatically name files according to date/time in a category structure understandable to it

b) You can upload snapshots to a FTP server, which can be pointed on a windows share. You cannot enter a windows share directly in to the camera.

4) Would a PTZ camera be a better choice if I need clear snapshot of only a specific area of the target?

See #2 above for recommendation

What web browser(s) can you use to view the web interface for this camera over the local network? Can you view the video feed over the web interface? Do you need special plugins?

Question by: Ian Kimbley on: 2018-12-13

All of our security cameras that are network-based such as this 4K IP camera come with a built-in web-server. You can learn more about the different viewing options in our guide about how to view a standalone security camera.
