It is the 130ft night vision capability of this camera combined with a 5 megapixel image sensor, all at an affordable price.
You can see general detail up to 200ft away with this camera in day or night.
This is an IP camera that provides greater than HD 1080p quality video. If you are looking for a camera that provides a lot of detail like being able to make out a face up to 40ft away, then this camera is the right choice.
We recommend using this camera with a NVR software for Windows or Linux such as Blue Iris, iSPY, AnyCam, Zone Minder, and Luxriot. We do not recommend using this camera with a standalone NVR. As long as the NVR software supports ONVIF or RTSP, this camera can stream video.
You can also use this camera as a web camera with a free mobile app such as TinyCam or Onvifer to keep an eye on things happening live, without ever recording. The camera can be connected directly to most 3rd part IP camera mobile apps available on the iOS and Android platforms that support ONVIF or RTSP streams.
It is powered by 12V DC and if you would like to use it with a PoE Switch you can use this PoE power splitter.
