Can you use this for mirror imaging of an NVR
Question by: Robert on: 2017-08-17
This unit is a SATA expander for our recorder. You cannot use it to create a copy of recordings. To create a live copy of recordings you can use our NVRs to connect to our DVRs and create a live copy. Here is an article on how to do that.
You cannot do this with equipment purchased elsewhere.

If my NVR is fully stocked with hard drives and I wanted to add more hard drive storage will this allow me to expand the current local drive space or will it create a different local drive and store it that way? Also is the max per slot 8tb or can it go up to 14tb?
Question by: jean on: 2019-04-09
The eSATA expander for NVR recorders is for use with specific models we carry that can be found in the related products list on the listing for this product. It creates another JBOD disk array to write video storage to. Max HDD capacity is dependent on the max capacity per drive supported by the NVR you are using it with. It can range from 4TB to 6TB.
