This compact camera has a small pinhole lens, making it ideal for use in areas or within objects where a discreet video security camera is necessary. To take full advantage of the HD 1080P resolution video the camera has to offer, it should be used with a HD security DVR that supports HD analog security cameras.

Equipped with a 2MP video sensor, this HD mini security camera delivers a 1080P resolution picture when using one of the three HD video signal types such as HDCVI, HDTVI, or AHD. The camera can be set to CVBS mode for use with older standard definition DVRs upon request at the time of order, or by using a UTC controller. By default, the camera ships in 1080P HDCVI mode, please make sure you have a compatible DVR when purchasing.

The 2.8mm lens provides a wide 103-degree view, allowing for facial detail capture up to 28 feet away when recorded in full 1080P HD mode. It also features automatic day and night modes, switching from color to black and white when there's insufficient light. Thanks to its Starlight image sensor, this camera remains in color mode with some ambient lighting; however, in complete darkness, it will switch to black and white mode.

In addition to video output, the camera has one RCA audio line-in connector that can be used to connect to an external security camera microphone. When used in HD video mode with a compatible DVR, the camera can transmit both audio and video over on coax cable.
