What is the maximum length for the power and RCA/signal cable for the outdoor security camera microphone? Also, could I use a splitter to split the power cable for the security camera, so I can power the security camera and the microphone?
Thanks.

Can mic be used with amp for noise monitoring of area in yard 400 feet away.
Question by: dave on: 2016-09-05
The description of this microphone states audio pick up to 60ft away. We don't suggest using this mic with a wire run of 400ft. Signal attenuation over coax will cause poor audio quality.

What else do I need to get besides the cable? And does it connect directly to a tv. Or can I connect it to my laptop?
Question by: Lance on: 2018-04-04
This security camera microphone outputs an analog audio signal via its RCA audio output. You can use a RCA audio cable to carry the signal. You also need a 12V 500mA power adaptor to power the mic. Analog audio output can be connected to a security video recorder that accepts RCA audio inputs, or a TV that has such audio inputs.
