If you are looking for one camera to capture the view of a full room, then this 180° Fisheye Camera is the perfect camera for such an application. This is a HDCVI camera with 4MP or 2K resolution that provide video clarity twice that of 1080P. You will need a 4MP HDCVI DVR to capture the 4 megapixel resolution video stream that is output from the camera. Secondly, to ensure a good quality HD video signal requires that you use HDCVI cameras with either a RG59 coax cable that was self-crimped from a roll, or HD certified premade siamese cables.
This camera is IK10 rated vandal resistant so it can withstand tampering. You can mount it on the ceiling in an office, or on the exterior wall of your home to capture a general wide view of the property. Since the camera uses a 1.18mm lens to provide a 180 degree fisheye view, the max facial detail distance is 20ft in daylight.
This camera does not have infrared, so it requires some ambient light for proper operation. Our 4MP HDCVI cameras offer True Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology, which will recognize and adjust bright/dim areas of your video, such as a light or glare from the sun, without darkening the rest of the objects in frame.
This camera has two separate BNC video outputs, one for HDCVI and one for CVBS output (aka analog) so you can use an analog CCTV tester when installing the camera.

Will my analog Q-see QT528 DVR record the higher quality 4 MP output from this camera?
Question by: John on: 2018-02-19
Unfortunately you cannot use a HDCVI 4mp or 1080P camera with an old analog DVR. You will need a new HDCVI DVR. To support 4mp HDCVI cameras, you will need a 4MP HDCVI DVR such as the following models:
8 Channel 4MP Tribrid DVR, DVRCV084M
16 Channel 4MP Tribrid DVR, DVRCVPT164M
16 Channel 4K DVR NVR 8SATA, DVRULT16HDX

Is this an outside camera?
Question by: Mike Collins on: 2019-01-03
As stated in the specs, it is an indoor only camera.

I am currently looking at purchasing the 180 degree wide angle camera, SKU# HD4MP180.
I see that it says that it will only work with the 4MP DVR....
If our setup does not include recording (i.e. the camera would feed directly into a computer monitor for live viewing only), would this product still work with just RG-59 cable and the monitor? Or does it have to have the DVR no matter what?
Question by: Derek Finch on: 2019-06-10
Ideally for best function you need to have a DVR because it is a HDCVI camera. The HDCVI signal sent over coax is decoded by the HDCVI DVR and then displayed as a HDMI or VGA output from the DVR. Please watch the video on the top right of this page to understand the 3 types of security camera signal types.
You can also use a HDCVI to HDMI video converter to display video directly to a 1080P monitor. If you would like to use this device, then we recommend notifying us after you place the order to set the camera to 1080P mode before shipping.
