Replacing CCTV Security Pros Blue Line Equipment

Blue Line equipment uses the Avalonix replacement path. CCTV Camera World's technical staff has tested both older coax equipment and Blue Line IP systems with compatible Avalonix products.

Blue Line coax cameras and DVRs: Compatible Avalonix coax cameras and Avalonix DVRs can replace older Blue Line equipment while allowing you to keep working cameras and existing coax wiring.

Blue Line IP cameras and NVRs: Compatible Blue Line and Avalonix IP equipment communicates using the private protocol. This provides deeper integration than a basic ONVIF connection, including standard motion detection, Smart Motion Detection, and supported IVS events.

If you rely on a particular IVS feature, make sure the replacement NVR supports it. A camera may support an event such as People Counting or Heatmap, but the NVR also needs to support that event for it to be available through the recorder.

Replacing Black Line or SureVision IP Equipment

Black Line and SureVision IP equipment use the AvaEye replacement path. Our technical staff has tested compatible AvaEye cameras and NVRs with both product lines, and the compatibility works in both directions.

With NVRs that have built-in PoE ports, compatible cameras can work plug-and-play and be automatically discovered. The same cameras can also be used when connected elsewhere on the local network, so compatibility is not limited to direct PoE-port connections.

These combinations use ONVIF for video, supported audio, and standard video-based motion detection. Advanced smart detection and VCA events are more dependent on the camera and NVR firmware and may not pass event data over ONVIF. These features may also need to be configured directly through the camera's web interface.

Shop AvaEye IP cameras or NVR recorders if you are replacing only part of a Black Line or SureVision system.

Replacing the Entire CCTV Security Pros System

If several cameras and the recorder are old or failing, a complete replacement may make more sense. For an IP installation, browse our PoE security camera systems. Older Blue Line coax installations may also be upgraded with a new HD Analog security camera system while reusing suitable coax wiring.

If you are keeping any existing CCTV Security Pros equipment, contact us with the camera and recorder model numbers. Our technicians can help identify whether you need an Avalonix or AvaEye replacement and which features should remain available.

Not Sure Which CCTV Security Pros Equipment You Have?

Check the camera or recorder for a product label with the model number and any Blue Line, Black Line, or SureVision identification. If the label is unclear, take a clear photo and send it to us. We can use the model information to help identify the correct replacement path.

Can I replace only the recorder and keep my cameras?

Yes, in many cases. Compatible Blue Line cameras can continue working with the appropriate Avalonix recorder, while compatible Black Line and SureVision IP cameras can continue working with an AvaEye NVR.

Do Blue Line IP cameras work with Avalonix NVRs?

Yes. CCTV Camera World's technical staff has tested compatible Blue Line IP cameras with Avalonix NVRs using the private protocol. Supported integration can include motion detection, Smart Motion Detection, and other IVS events.

Will Blue Line IVS events work with a replacement Avalonix NVR?

Supported IVS events can work through the private protocol, but the replacement NVR must also support the specific event you want to use. Check support for features such as ANPR, Heat Map, People Counting, or other IVS functions before ordering.

Do AvaEye cameras work with Black Line and SureVision NVRs?
