Getting the system set up is extremely simple with Power over Ethernet technology, which sends power and transfers data at the same time. The NVR comes with a 2TB hard drive for storing recorded video for up to a week or so before the system intelligently overwrites the oldest footage. Larger hard drive configurations are available when purchasing if you need more retention time. As a modern surveillance solution, our AvaEye line has a remote viewing app for iPhone and Android, as well as comprehensive computer software for PCs and Macs, and both are available to our customers free of charge.

AvaEye Wired PoE UltraHD 8MP 4K Turret Cameras

The system comes with professional-grade turret cameras that record 4K 8MP ultra-HD resolution video at 20 frames per second. Combining the power of a high end 1/2.7" Starlight CMOS image sensor and a 4mm lens, the cameras in this system see a 91.2° angle of view. All of these specifications add up to capturing video that is sharp enough to recognize someone's face from 50 feet away during the day. These cameras' Starlight image sensors allow them to record color with remarkable clarity even in low-light settings (as low as 0.005 Lux). When it's completely dark outside, they transition to black-and-white mode and can see general detail up to 100 feet away thanks to their strong infrared (IR) lights. Use the cameras anywhere, indoors or outdoors, as they have a respectable IP67 water resistance rating. Additionally, with built-in microphones, you can turn on audio recording and expect to pick up sound from up to 25 feet away.

Standalone PoE Camera System

This AvaEye 4K PoE system, like all of our professional surveillance systems, is designed to serve as a standalone setup where the use of the internet is optional. The kit contains an NVR recorder with four built-in PoE ports that communicate directly with the cameras via a single network cable using PoE technology. The NVR can power the cameras from up to 300 feet away, and the cameras transmit high-quality 4K video and audio feeds. The cameras also communicate with the NVR and send event data based on any smart events that you may have set on the cameras. Without an internet connection, the NVR can store 4K footage locally on its internal hard drive and use the smart security camera capabilities.

Depending on your preferences, you can connect the NVR system to the internet and take advantage of the remote viewing and push notification features to stay alert to who visits your home or business.

Smart Surveillance - Optimize Storage and Reduce False Alerts

This PoE surveillance system has smart security cameras that come with features you can enable to help make sure recording focuses on events that matter. The cameras have video analytics that focus on accurately spotting humans, which results in more recordings of actual concerns and fewer false alerts. One feature called Line Crossing sends you an alert if someone crosses a line you've drawn in the camera's view, kind of like a digital tripwire. Another feature, aptly named Intrusion Box, alerts you when someone steps into or out of a digital area you've marked off. Using the AvaEye app on your phone, you can get these alerts sent straight to you, letting you know if someone's at your home or business.

The PoE cameras also have Ultra Motion Detection, which is another great analytical feature. It is video based motion detection with a filter for humans and vehicles that filters out leaves, bugs, and lighting changes, so you get recordings and alerts for events that matter. You can choose to record video based solely on event detection or combine it with 24-hour recording to ensure you don't miss anything.

It’s also an excellent tool for anyone who might want to monitor multiple AvaEye cameras or systems from multiple locations, all in one convenient piece of software.

View on Your Phone with the AvaEye App

Of course, viewing these cameras is possible with your phone! And the AvaEye app makes it easy to connect and watch from anywhere, as long as your phone has an internet or data connection. It’s available for iPhone and Android. All you have to do is download the app, scan the QR code for your system, enter some credentials, and you're all set to watch live or recorded video. Plus, you can get push alerts right on your phone, so you can check in on things as they happen.

Watch Locally with a Web Browser

You can also watch cameras directly in Microsoft Edge on a Windows PC using the plugin that is installed from the NVR's web interface. As long as you're on the same network or have proper port forwarding to allow the NVR to be visible from the internet, with the free browser plugin installed, you can view multiple cameras in full 4K resolution, listen to audio, and take advantage of all the features the system has to offer.
