Plug-and-Play PoE Tech for Simple Setup

This system is as plain and simple as it gets to get started. Power over Ethernet technology, which sends power and receives data over a single cable, makes the system as plug-and-play as possible when using the AvaEye PoE cameras with a PoE NVR. Within minutes of simply connecting Ethernet cables to the back of the NVR and the other end to the cameras, they’ll boot up and start sending video. Without the need for a separate power box or power cabling, PoE camera systems have far less clutter than traditional coax ones.

Dependable AvaEye 4K 8MP Bullet Cameras

Capturing detailed 4K 8MP video at 20 frames per second is made possible with 1/2.7" CMOS image sensors. The 4mm lens, in tandem with the sensor, sees a 91.2-degree horizontal angle of view. To put these specs in context, it means the cameras can see faces up to 50 feet away. Thanks to the advanced Starlight sensor, these cameras stand out for their ability to capture details, even under ambient lighting conditions as dim as 0.005 Lux. In darker scenes, the camera turns on its powerful infrared LEDs to beam up to 164 feet of IR light for general details. Further contributing to the features offered by this camera is the built-in microphone, which can capture audio from distances of up to 25 feet. Durably designed with an IP67 waterproof rating, the bullet cameras in this system can be installed indoors or outdoors for year-round surveillance.

Smart Event Detection with Video Analytics

Using AI-based analytics, the AvaEye security camera system has the ability to intelligently detect movement from humans using specialized rules. These rules help by ruling out and no longer recording movement from irrelevant objects and common triggers of false alerts like shadows, leaves, and insects. This means your system will send you far fewer false alerts, and recordings triggered by the rules will be more significant.

The first, called Line Crossing, enables you to draw digital lines within the camera’s view. When a human approaches a line, the algorithm kicks in, waiting to send notifications and start recording the moment the rule is broken. Customers have reported that line crossing is particularly useful for monitoring entry ways and exits as well as restricted areas within their businesses. Intrusion Box is similar to line detection, but instead of using individual lines, it lets you define zones within the camera’s view by drawing squares or rectangles. The intrusion box method of smart detection is useful for monitoring specific areas where objects are stored within the camera’s view, like merchandise within a retail store or packages in the shipping department.

Innovative Ultra Motion Detection

False alerts with pixel-based video motion detection are a thing of the past! Ultra motion detection (UMD) is another smart detection feature included in this system. This powerhouse of a detection method is adept at constantly analyzing video for movement from humans and vehicles. Rather than relying on changes in the intensity or contrast of pixels like oldschool motion, UMD uses an algorithm to focus on detecting its targets. You can even enable a filter to only detect motion from humans or vehicles for a given camera. Along with line crossing and intrusion boxes, UMD gives you another option to reduce annoying false alerts and quickly bring your attention to recordings of meaningful events.

Optimizable Image Settings

AvaEye cameras come with a collection of preconfigured image profiles to choose from for various surveillance capture scenarios. These image presets make it quick and easy to get the best out of a camera, with the ability to make tweaks if the image isn’t perfect. There are also a few video enhancement features, such as True Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), Backlight Compensation, and Highlight Compensation. They help in views where there are varying light levels from shadows or bright sources of light that can produce overexposure or visual noise.

Storage Without Recurring Charges

To start off, this system comes with a 2TB hard drive, with larger hard drive configurations available when purchasing if you need more storage space for recording from the 16 4K cameras, depending on the recording schedule. The NVR has capacity for another drive, and the maximum supported drive size is up to 10TB, for a maximum total of 20TBs. Along with the latest in H.264 or H.265 video compression, these systems have ample storage space. By the way, there are no recurring or subscription fees to record or watch footage.

Web Browser Support

For technical users, the NVR and cameras have web servers accessible from a computer by typing the IP address of the system into a web browser. This web portal has the ability to stream video from a single channel up to 1080P without any plugins on a PC or Mac using Chrome or Firefox. It’s great for finely tuning the cameras and managing system settings from the comfort of your computer. For a better web viewing experience, such as viewing multiple channels in full resolution, a browser plugin is available for use on Windows PCs.
