WiFi Connectivity and Networking

This camera can be paired with a WiFi NVR or a WiFi router for wireless transmission. All the camera needs is a power connection along with a stable WiFi connection to stream continuous high definition video. If you're setting up a mixed wired and wireless security camera system, or simply looking to use your own WiFi router, this camera can be connected to a WiFi radio or Access Point.

This network camera's advanced dual antenna and MIMO (multiple-input and multiple-output) technology enhance WiFi transmission range up to 400ft (clear unobstructed line of sight), improve resistance to interference, and ensure a smoother video streaming experience. The built-in WiFi 802.11b/g/n radio works with most 2.4GHz WiFi routers, making setup reliable with some networking configuration. Having an understanding of computer networking is required if you plan to set up the camera on your own WiFi network.

As with all wireless cameras, their network performance depends on the strength of the WiFi signal supplied by the user, nearby interference from nearby WiFi networks, and obstructions in the signal path.

Video Quality and Streaming

With a strong WiFi connection supplied from your router, you'll get consistent real-time video. Adjust video settings like resolution, frame rate, and bitrate. Viewing Angle and Night Vision

This camera has a 2.8mm lens, giving a wide 90-degree field of view for wide-angle surveillance. The impressive 2K resolution allows the user to digitally zoom, capturing details like faces up to 45 feet away. General detail can be seen up to 220ft away in lit conditions. In complete darkness, the camera's built-in infrared LEDs provide night vision up to 100ft.

Two-Way Audio Capabilities

Adding to its features is the camera's two-way audio capabilities. You can hear what's happening and talk through the camera. Use it to guide a delivery person or check in with loved ones. This audio solution makes security interactive and versatile. You can expect to hear a person talking up to 30ft away in a quiet room, and speak through the speaker up to 20ft away.

Remote Viewing and Professional Use

The camera's two-way audio capabilities can be utilized using our Free Remote Viewing App while the camera is in use with one of the Avalonix Premium Series WiFi or Wired NVR, or if the camera is used as a standalone WiFi camera connected to a computer network. The internet is required if you wish to receive motion alerts or view the camera remotely.

Power Supply and Recording

Powering the camera is easy using the supplied 12V DC 1amp power adapter with a nearby outlet. If your nearest outlet is farther than 6ft, additional DC wire extension cables are available for purchase.

Use as Part of an NVR Camera System

The camera can be recorded to an Avalonix NVR system on the network for long-term recording. You can set up continuous, schedule, or motion-based recording. While the camera is powered on, it does stream video continuously over the local computer network to the NVR for easy viewing using the mobile app and two-way audio capabilities all from one app.

Use as a Standalone Web Camera

If you're just looking for one camera to keep an eye on things, you can use the camera by itself connected to the provided power adapter using a nearby outlet. You can stream the camera over your local WiFi network for local viewing on the mobile app, web browser no a PC or Mac, or using our free Central Monitoring Software for PC. You can record the camera on an internal microSD that can be purchased with the camera. You can set up continuous, schedule, or motion-based recording. Video can be accessed using the free mobile app, or from a PC using the local network or remotely from anywhere.
