This Wireless Dome Security Camera is the latest in security camera technology offering convenience in installation by sending video wirelessly over a WiFi network. The WD4MP is a wireless IP camera with a built-in 802.11 b/g/n client radio that is compatible with 2.4GHz WiFi routers which makes it easy to setup the camera, and cost-effective as well by doing away with requirement of having a paired wireless receiver for each camera. Wireless cameras with a built-in radio can perform up to 250ft away from the router as long as the emitting router provides a strong WiFi signal. Wireless IP camera technology allows for wireless video transmission from multiple cameras over an existing WiFi network (e.g. your router or access points) to a NVR, to a computer, or mobile device. If you don't need video recording, you can simply use our best security camera remote viewing app on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device to view the camera from anywhere in the world over the internet. Viewing over the internet, simply requires broadband internet where the camera is installed.
This wireless dome camera has a 4 Megapixel CMOS sensor that provides 2K video that is twice the definition of 1080P HD, making this camera a professional wireless security camera. Using video encoding settings in the camera's configuration menu allows the user to choose video resolution, frames per second, and video bitrate to optimize bandwidth used by the camera. In addition, it offers the user to choose between H.264 and H.265 video streams. As with all of our IP cameras, it also supports dual video streams, i.e. main stream for high resolution video to record to a NVR and sub stream for remote viewing on a mobile device.
This dome camera is vandal resistant to IK10 standards, and IP67 weather proof, making it suitable for use indoors or outdoors. The 3.6mm lens provides a wide angle 83 degree view, which is great for general surveillance. Thanks to the 2K resolution of this camera, you can zoom in to finer detail to see a face up to 40ft away during the day or in lit conditions. The camera also has 100ft of infrared night vision. There are also great image enhancements features like backlight compensation (BLC) and Digital Wide Dynamic Range (DWDR) which provide exposure compensation for scenarios such as sun glare.
You can power this camera easily with a 12V 1amp power adapter. To record video we suggest using one of our IP camera NVR, or our newest wireless NVR.

Customer Reviews
- These products are top notch Review by Robert E
As a brand new shopper in this arena, not only were the cameras the best I could find; but the outstanding service and customer support far exceeded my expectations, (Posted on 9/21/17)Price Value Quality - Camera for historic landmark Review by josh walinski
I own a beautiful building that has been declared a historical landmark. I cannot run cabling through these walls. So wireless security cameras was a MUST. A local installer came out and quoted me $25k for the equipment and install. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I purchased these cameras for only $2k and installed them myself. I used a Ubiquiti access point as recommended by this company to amplify the signal. It was easy enough to set up myself and saved a butt load of money. I mounted this wireless dome cam on my barn 65ft away from my house. It gets pretty cold here in Montana and this camera has lasted through the snow and -10 degree temps. I can see vehicles very clearly as they pass the barn and approach the house. The infrared also reaches to my driveway gate which is about 80ft away. I need to get a couple more of these to put up on the other side of my house. (Posted on 2/4/16)Price Value Quality - Decent camera Review by Keith James
A Montessori hired my IT company to install some cameras. I compared this HD cameras with foscam and found this one to have better video quality. The video is served up to our NVR which the parents can log into to view. We are using these along with the wired cameras without any issue. The child's face can be clearly seen 30ft away. The infrared illuminated in low light conditions during nap time and you can still see the kid's faces clearly. (Posted on 7/15/15)Price Value Quality

Hi there, is this camera battery operated as well?
Question by: Sam on: 2018-09-23
It is not battery operated.
Answer by: Tech Support on: 2018-09-24
Can motion alerts be sent out by text or email, or must they go to NVR?
Can the activity go to a hard drive connected to the wifi apple extreme router?
Thanks
Question by: susan on: 2017-10-15
To record video you will need one of our NVR. You cannot record to a USB on an Apple router. Motion alerts can be sent via email (not text) by a IP camera itself or the NVR as explain in this article about how to set up email alerts on your security cameras.
