Description

Details

4K Resolution capable 16 Camera Network Video Recorder for use with the latest 4K IP security cameras supporting up to 8MP cameras. It provides real time video recording using the latest H.265 and H.264 video algorithm. This NVR comes with built-in PoE ports for up to 16 cameras, making IP camera installation truly plug and play for even the most novice use. Using a single network CAT5e/CAT6 cable you can not only power the camera, but also receive video, audio, and data. If you are looking for the best video resolution possible for recording security cameras, then we highly recommend this NVR because of its ability to record up to 16 security cameras at 4K resolution each.

Inside this professional NVR there are 4 SATA ports that accept up to four hard drives. Each drive can be up to 6TB in capacity. It has the capability of recording up to 200 Mbps of video bandwidth, which is plenty even at 4K resolution. You can also use the following resolution cameras with this unit for Real Time recording on all 16 channels:

It is powered by a Quad-core processor and a embedded Linux operating system that stays virus free. The user interface is easy to use using the included mouse, making it simple to connect your cameras, set recording schedules, and motion detection schedules. The 16 camera professional NVR also offers 2 video outputs so you can connect up to 2 monitors displaying the same screen (1 HDMI + 1 VGA). When using cameras at resolutions of 3MP or higher, we suggest using the included SmartPSS software to view multiple cameras in gird view to use the computer's CPU and GPU for rendering the high resolution camera grid view. The number of cameras displayed in grid displays through the HDMI output vary based on the resolution of the cameras being used. This NVR supports up to 16 megapixels of total display, that means through HDMI or VGA output you can display up to eight 1080P cameras, or two 4K cameras. NVRs are a hybrid between a NAS device and DVR, and are not built with very powerful graphics display processors to minimize heat issues.

Let's not forget there is also two way audio, and 16 alarm inputs should you choose to tie in PIR motion sensors for spot on motion detection.

Video backups are easy to do. They can be done locally at the NVR using a USB drive, or external USB DVD burner. You can even download video from the unit over the network or internet using the included FREE software for Windows and Mac computers.

This 16 channel PoE NVR comes with FREE Lifetime Technical Support by our expert staff. All the cameras we sell at CCTVCameraWorld are compatible with our NVR recorders, Hybrid DVR, and Security DVR. If you are looking for compatibility with cameras purchased elsewhere, please be sure to review our IP camera compatibility list.

Total 4 question(s)

Can you provide any info camera compatibility as far as brand is concerned.

Question by: Lee on: 2016-11-18

All of our IP Cameras are compatible with our PoE NVRs. When using the built-in PoE port on our NVR, we can only guarantee compatibility with our cameras as they are designed to work with each other. There are many driver negotiations that go behind the scenes when cameras are plugged in to an NVR.

Answer by: Tech Support on: 2016-11-30

So do I understand this right. The NVR with PoR is built in the unit and no need to have Internet connection.
Just run the cables from NVR to cameras with power and video/audio

Question by: keith on: 2016-11-01

To get the video stream from the cameras to the NVR, you do not need internet if you use our PoE NVR. The integrated PoE ports effectively provide a CCTV Camera System where everything is internal to the NVR. This is illustrated in our guide on How to Setup a IP Camera System. It is important to note that without internet, you cannot view your system remotely. You would have to use a monitor connected to the NVR.

Answer by: Tech Support on: 2016-11-02

Two ports on the back a VGA and a HDMI, can you use both at same time to connect to two different monitors one using a vga and the other a HDMI cable ?

Question by: Michael on: 2017-02-23

If you use two monitors, one attached to each of the VGA and HDMI ports, you will be able to get a max resolution output of 1080P. The screen will be identical on both monitors. There is a secondary HDMI monitor output which will let you output a spot output of a few select cameras.

Can i backup my recorder online? how?
thank you

Question by: raffi on: 2017-06-05

Yes you can download footage to your computer over the internet, or you can use a second NVR to create a live backup as explained in this article: Recording IP cameras to the cloud.
