Storage is no concern; a massive maximum 144TB configuration is possible, with support for up to eight 18TB hard drives. Without any upgrades, the NVR comes with a single 2TB drive for recorded video storage, and larger hard drive configurations are available when purchasing the system. Starting with at least one additional drive is a good idea to take advantage of hard drive grouping, which will reduce the risk of frame skipping as the system stores video from 64 cameras. Power over Ethernet for Clean and Simple Installation

Deploying 64 cameras might sound intimidating, but with Power over Ethernet technology providing power and data over a single Ethernet cable per camera, it’s practically problem-free and eliminates a lot of the mess older coax cable systems had. The system comes with three switches to host and interconnect cameras within a local network. Or the switches can be used to create a standalone network dedicated to the cameras.

Two 24-port PoE switches and one 16-port switch are included with the system and have two uplink ports to daisy chain to one another or integrate with existing network infrastructure. They also have an upgrade to PoE called extended PoE, which, when used with solid copper CAT6 cable, can be used to extend cable runs as far as 820 feet away from the switches.

As long as the switches have power and are within 328 feet of one another, they can be easily daisy-chained together, providing the ability to place cameras anywhere inside or outside your building as needed.  By using PoE switches for camera infrastructure, you get near unlimited flexibility and have options to expand in areas for strategic IP camera placement.

A Mix of AvaEye 8MP 4K Bullet and Turret Dome Camera

This system provides versatility by including both camera types, featuring a combination of our high-end bullet and dome AvaEye cameras with 1/2.7" CMOS Starlight image sensors that produce crystal-clear 4K 8MP video at a respectable 20 frames per second. Each camera has a 4mm lens, resulting in a 91.2-degree field of view with the sensor. In the real world, these specifications combine to capture video that can be used to recognize someone’s face from up to 50 feet away.

Starlight Technology in the image sensor aids the camera in low-light environments, allowing it to remain in color mode with little ambient lighting. Areas with no light will still be caught in black-and-white footage thanks to the bullet cameras' 164 feet of night vision and the dome cameras' 100 feet for general detail at night.

The cameras also have built-in microphones that can hear sound from up to 30 feet away in calm environments. Finally, they are great for indoor or outdoor use, withstanding the elements in most regions due to their IP67 weather resistant design.

Cameras with Customizable Smart Event Detection

Surveillance doesn’t have to be a chore, and the smart detection features offered by AvaEye make reviewing footage a walk in the park. Our AvaEye cameras and NVRs have two rule-based analytic features, one called Line Crossing, and the other Intrusion Box. These analytics allow you to draw rules that can automatically trigger recording and optionally send alerts to protect specific areas within your cameras’ views. Both rule types are designed to detect activity from humans and rule out irrelevant objects.

Line Crossing can be thought of as a digital tripwire, as it lets you draw lines in your cameras’ views. Whenever someone crosses the virtual lines, the camera and NVR begin recording, and you can also have the system send alerts to your phone. We recommend enabling and drawing the line crossing feature in views where intruders have to pass through specific walkways or enter through doors.

Alternatively, the Intrusion Box feature can be used to protect general areas in a camera's view to draw shapes rather than individual or sets of lines. Intrusion detection is best used in areas where there are several ways to get in or out of the camera's view, like near a window. Just like the line feature, whenever a human enters or exits the intrusion zones you set, the system will start recording and fire off alerts, depending on your preferred trigger settings.

Ultra Motion Detection for Improved Security and Useful Analytics

AvaEye systems have some of the latest advancements in the security camera industry, and Ultra Motion Detection is one of the most useful ones. It is a massive improvement over traditional pixel-based motion detection by using smart algorithms. These algorithms actively analyze video for movement from vehicles and humans rather than relying on simple pixel changes within the view. By filtering out events from things that don’t matter, like leaves, shadows, or small animals, UMD serves as a robust feature for achieving accurate and useful recordings and alerts. You can even enable a filter for human or vehicle detection only, or leave the default setting to detect both.

The usefulness of Ultra Motion Detection (UMD) technology extends beyond surveillance. In retail stores, it could be used to monitor customer behavior and help businesses optimize store layouts. In manufacturing, UMD can assist with quality control measures and watch for potential safety issues. In healthcare, it can assist with monitoring patients who may need assistance. The possibilities for utilizing UMD are nearly limitless, providing businesses of all sizes with it’s advantages to improve operations.

Image Optimizations

Adding to the comprehensive nature of this system are the finely adjustable image settings on top of the aforementioned Starlight technology. Adjustable settings range from brightness and contrast to sharpness and noise reduction. The cameras and NVR also have preset image options that may already be optimal for your scene or can be used as a baseline for further tweaks. On top of the customization are several image enhancement options, including WDR, Backlight Compensation, and Highlight Compsensation. These features automatically adjust settings to ensure good capture in scenes that are subject to overexposure or uneven lighting.

Substantial Storage - No Subscriptions

The 64-channel NVR in this system has support for up to eight 18TB drives, adding up to a massive potential storage of 144 TBs.
