When there is some ambient lighting, the camera's 0.001 low lux sensitivity from its Starlight sensor means it can still capture footage in color. If it gets too dark, it intelligently switches to black & white mode with the long-range IR distance. For after-hours moments with no lighting, the infrared night vision stretches up to an impressive 400 feet.

This camera doesn't stop at just recording. It's a part of our Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) license plate cameras that are able to detect, recognize, and store license plate numbers on the internal microSD. 1. Under ideal day/night conditions, 15° angle of view max. Minimum Plate Capture Distance 20ft.
2. Stated IR illumination range is based on ideal conditions in typical outdoor night time ambient lighting and in total darkness. Actual range and image clarity depends on installation location, viewing area, and light reflection / absorption level of object. In extremely low light, the camera will switch to black and white.
3. Camera has a 0.001 Lux rating in color mode. Camera switches to black and white mode in complete darkness.
4. Not intended for submersion in water. Installation in a sheltered location recommended.
