4 Gigabit PoE Ports for IP Cameras

The AvaEye POE4GEIN has 4 full gigabit RJ45 PoE ports. That means each copper PoE port supports 10/100/1000Mbps network connections, which gives you more headroom than a basic 100Mbps PoE switch.

For most security cameras, gigabit speed is not required for a single video stream, but it can still be useful in professional installations. It gives the switch more flexibility for higher bitrate cameras, non-camera PoE devices, wireless access points, or mixed network devices that may benefit from a faster copper port.

2 Independent SFP Fiber Uplinks for Longer Network Connections

The two SFP fiber uplink slots are one of the main reasons to use this switch. Fiber uplinks are useful when the switch is installed far from the main network room, or when you want to connect between buildings, cabinets, or network closets using fiber optic cable.

These SFP ports are independent uplink ports, not shared combo ports. That means the SFP uplink traffic does not take over one of the gigabit RJ45 PoE ports. This is useful when you want all 4 PoE ports available for cameras while still using fiber to connect back to the main network.
