32-Channel 4K Hybrid DVR (XVR) — Flexible Coax + IP Recording

This 32-channel 4K Pentabrid DVR is a compact, high-efficiency recorder for customers upgrading an older analog system or building a new hybrid system with HD security cameras. As an XVR, it supports five signal types with per-channel flexibility so you can mix coax and IP cameras as needed.

What it records

• HDCVI — Use our selection of HD analog security cameras up to 4K 8MP. Where featured in the camera, PTZ controls and audio from a built-in mic travel over the same coax.
• AHD — Video support by our or 3rd party 4-in-1 analog cameras.
• TVI — Video support by our or 3rd party4-in-1 analog cameras.
• IP Cameras - Select from any of our Premium Series IP cameras up to 12 MP resolution, guaranteed to be compatible with our Premium Series DVRs. This model supports up to 64 cameras with 256 Mbps total IP bandwidth. See IP channel options for a simple explanation. A PoE switch is required for connecting IP cameras over the network.
• Analog Resolution Cameras — These standard-definition security cameras (aka CVBS) are likely what you already have if you're upgrading to HD from an old CCTV system.

Audio options (built-in and over coax)

In addition to 32 camera video inputs, this DVR includes 4 analog audio inputs for security cameras with microphones or add-on security microphones. Using a camera with a mic is simple via the BNC audio inputs. This recorder also supports audio over the HDCVI signal or over IP cameras, allowing compatible cameras with built-in microphones to send video and audio over the same coax without separate microphones.

AI analytics that reduce false alerts

This 32-camera XVR features advanced AI analytics to help capture what matters and ignore what doesn’t. You can use Smart Motion Detection (SMD) on up to 32 BNC channels for better human and vehicle filtering compared to basic motion detection.

On up to 12 BNC channels, enable Digital Tripwire and Intrusion Detection to refine event triggers. The DVR also supports Face Detection on up to 6 BNC channels, capturing faces when they appear within view (for best results, ensure the face occupies at least 50% of the camera’s field of view). Up to 12 face images per second per channel can be recorded.

On IP channels, the XVR records the analytics provided by compatible IP cameras. We guarantee compatibility with the Avalonix Premium Series IP cameras we offer.

Some third-party cameras on our compatibility list may work for basic video, but third-party camera analytics are not supported.

IP channel options (simple)

• Default (hybrid) mode: There are 32 BNC channels. You can convert them to IP one by one, starting from Channel 32 backward. Each converted channel allocates about 4 Mbps from the 256 Mbps total IP bandwidth pool.
• IP Extension mode: Enables IP channels 33–64 for large IP deployments. Turning this on disables the recorder’s built-in analytics on both analog and IP channels (SMD, Perimeter, Face, Privacy Protection, ePTZ).

Viewing and remote access

View all cameras locally using the HDMI or VGA outputs on the back of the DVR, or view everything on one screen on a PC using our central monitoring software for Premium Series products. Free apps are available for iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, and Mac.
