32-Channel 4K DVR (XVR) — Flexible Coax + PoE Camera Recording, 2 HDD Model

This compact 32-channel 4K Pentabrid DVR is made for customers upgrading an older analog system or building a clean hybrid system with HD security cameras. As an XVR, it supports five signal types with per-channel flexibility, so you can mix coax and IP cameras as needed without replacing everything on day one. This 2-HDD version uses Smart H.265+ for longer retention, adds 4K over coax support (format-dependent), and delivers up to 256 Mbps of IP bandwidth for modern mixed systems.

What it records

• HDCVI — Use our selection of HD analog security cameras up to 4K 8MP. Where supported by the camera, PTZ controls and audio from a built-in mic travel over the same coax. 4K over coax available on select formats/channels (see specs).
• AHD — Video support via our or third-party 4-in-1 analog cameras. Up to 4K 7fps.
• TVI — Video support via our or third-party 4-in-1 analog cameras. Up to 4K 7fps.
• IP Cameras — Select from our Avalonix Premium Series IP cameras up to 8MP, guaranteed to be compatible with our Premium Series DVRs. This model supports up to 64 cameras with a 256 Mbps total IP bandwidth pool (see IP channel options). A PoE switch is required to connect IP cameras on your network.
• Analog Resolution Cameras — Standard-definition CVBS cameras you may still have if you’re upgrading an older CCTV system.

Audio options (built-in and over coax)

In addition to 32 camera video inputs, this DVR supports audio two ways: audio over HDCVI (from compatible cameras with built-in mics) and local RCA audio I/O for add-on microphones or a talk-back mic + speaker kit for two-way audio. Using a camera with a mic is often the simplest choice since video and audio ride the same coax. IP cameras with integrated mic/speaker are also supported over the network.

AI analytics that reduce false alerts

This 32-camera XVR includes practical AI analytics to capture what matters and ignore what doesn’t. Use Smart Motion Detection (SMD) on up to 32 BNC channels for human/vehicle filtering. Enable Digital Tripwire and Intrusion Detection on up to 12 BNC channels. Face tools include Face Detection on up to 6 BNC channels (up to 12 face images per second per channel) and Face Recognition on up to 6 BNC channels with a database of up to 10 lists / 20,000 images. You can turn on only one type of detection method when using the DVR to do video analysis.

On IP channels, the XVR records the analytics provided by compatible IP cameras. We guarantee compatibility with the Avalonix Premium Series IP cameras we offer. Some third-party brands with ONVIF support may work for basic video, but third-party camera analytics are not supported. over the ONVIF protocol .

IP channel options (simple)

• Default (hybrid) mode: There are 32 BNC channels. You can convert them to IP one by one, starting from Channel 32 backward. Each conversion allocates about 4 Mbps from the 256 Mbps total IP bandwidth pool.
• IP Extension mode: Enables IP channels 33–64 for larger IP deployments. Turning this on disables the recorder’s built-in analog-side analytics (SMD, Perimeter, Face, ePTZ).

Viewing and remote access

View locally using the HDMI or VGA outputs, or monitor everything on one screen on a PC using our central monitoring software for Avalonix Premium Series products. Free apps are available for iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, and Mac.
