The camera incorporates smart analytics that enable precise object detection for recording, deterrence feature activation, and human body autotracking.

In addition to its PTZ function, intelligent detection, clear 2K 4MP video, and 5X zoom lens, this PTZ camera with Active Deterrence boasts several aptly named features that actively deter intrusion and criminal activity around it.

You can configure this camera to activate its white light LED upon detecting an event, illuminating the area and alerting potential intruders to their monitoring. You can also set the white light LED to turn on automatically at night for color video recording. Additionally, you can activate the red and blue strobing LEDs on the camera to simulate police lights. If you prefer to use it as an inconspicuous camera, it comes with standard infrared LEDs as well. Finally, the camera has a very loud built-in speaker for alerts and a built-in microphone for two-way audio interactions.

Monitor, Record, and Deter

This camera can do more than monitor and record, making it ideal for your security strategy. While its monitoring abilities are exceptional due to its professional-grade optics and 4MP image sensor, it’s capable of far more than plain “after-the-fact” surveillance. This camera can act as a vigilant protector with its various deterrence features that take a proactive approach to ensure criminals think twice about messing with your property. It also has a variety of intelligent algorithms that can be set up to analyze video as it's being recorded to more accurately detect objects, and smart motion detection is a massive improvement upon traditional pixel based motion detection that relies solely on changes in pixels. With smart motion detection, this camera can recognize human body forms for event detection, making those pesky false motion alerts a thing of the past.

2K Video with 5X Zoom, Warm Light, and Night Vision

With its powerful 4MP low-light image sensor to capture stunningly clear video, and 2.7 to 13.5mm 5X zoom lens, this camera excels at recording high-quality video. 4MP means the video is 1440p (2K) and is double the pixels in video resolution compared to a 2MP camera, which produces standard 1080P HD video. With the camera at full 5X zoom, you can expect to see facial detail as far away as 90 feet, recognize an object from 177 feet, and observe movement from as far away as 350 feet.

For nighttime capture, you have the option of using the default setting that turns on the white light LEDs to light up the area and capture color video at night, or you can switch it to use the two Infrared (IR) LEDs to produce night vision that only the camera can see. When using the IR setting, the camera automatically switches to black-and-white mode with IRs beaming up to 164 feet at night for general cover. However, the low-light capture technology in the sensor means the camera can still see in color at night with some ambient lighting before it switches to IR in total darkness.

Active Deterrence

The Smart Dual Light technology in this camera ties in with its AI event detection capabilities. Normally at night the camera uses infrared (IR) light for discrete monitoring up to 164ft away. When a human or vehicle target enters the detection area specified by you, the white light automatically turns on, capturing full-color video to provide Color Night Vision with key event details such as color of vehicle and person's clothing. Once the target leaves the monitoring area, the white light turns off, and the IR light switches back on, minimizing light pollution and continuing discreet surveillance.

In addition, the camera is equipped with police-style blue-and-red lights. These lights can be configured to activate automatically at night upon target detection, they can be manually triggered through the camera's app or web interface. The police lights are particularly effective at deterring trespassers, while the built-in speaker can sound alerts or allow two-way communication using the free smartphone app.

Whether set to trigger automatically via smart AI-based video analytics or manually controlled, this combination of lights and audio effectively discourages intruders and provides enhanced security.

Smart Camera with AI Video Analytics

This camera uses AI video analytics for precise detection and smart use of deterrents like lights and speakers. Instead of using old school pixel based motion detection which often triggers false alerts from shadows, leaves or small animals, this camera uses smart motion detection algorithms to detect human movement. You can customize AI rules to analyse video feeds for specific object movement, reduce false positives and ensure event recording.

One of the key features is Smart Motion Detection (SMD) which goes beyond basic motion detection by detecting human body shapes rather than just changes in pixels. So you get alerts when an actual person is detected, not just when something moves.

The camera also has human auto tracking which follows a detected person, keeps them in frame and captures details.

If a human body is detected in one of these zones, you can trigger automatic recording, activate deterrent features, or initiate human auto-tracking.

The plugin-free interface is available in modern browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Firefox for both Windows and Mac computers. A web interface makes accessing the camera as easy as possible; just enter the camera's assigned IP address into your favorite browser while on the local network to access the settings, controls, and a video feed.

Beyond the web interface, there's convenient PC software and a free remote viewing app for iPhones and Android, providing direct access to the camera's video feed and PTZ control without needing a recorder. The camera has a microSD card slot that can hold up to 512GB for continuous video recording for up to 12 days before automatic overwriting, and much longer for an event-based recording schedule.
